Today marks the fourth anniversary of the death of the grandfather of the roleplaying hobby. He is perhaps best known as the co-creator of the Dungeons and Dragons game, the co-founder of TSR Hobbies, Inc., the author of the Gord the Rogue novels, and the creator of the world of Greyhawk and a multitude of fantastic characters. But prior to the RPG craze, he was an avid wargamer and author of nearly a dozen different tabletop wargames and scenarios.
He is missed. Rest well, Gary.
